Casa Corazón is a 1930s Spanish home on a flat, tree-lined street at the foot of the Hollywood Hills. Designed by Carlos Mota, the interiors move through a rich palette of greens, ochre and terracotta, with hand-painted walls, patterned tile and unexpected shifts in scale.
A mural of palms, birds and butterflies wraps the dining room beneath a green ceiling. In the double-height living room, a green-and-white striped fireplace hood anchors the space, while green-trimmed arches frame a Juliet balcony above. An ochre and terracotta kitchen opens through an arch to a grasscloth-lined breakfast nook.
Upstairs, green trellis wallpaper gives way to a pink-striped primary bath. Each room has a distinct character, with color and pattern connecting the spaces throughout.
Outside, a lawn and walled courtyard extend the setting, with oversized arched steel doors and a separate plaster guest suite with its own bath. The mix of intimate rooms, generous proportions and enclosed outdoor spaces offers a varied backdrop for photography, film and gatherings.
